What payment methods are available?

There are several payment methods available from our payment gateway provider. Such payment methods available are: credit/debit card local online bank transfer, e-wallets such as GrabPay and Touch N Go e-wallet.

We also have an option for PayPal if you're ordering from outside Malaysia

Do you accept cash payments on delivery (COD)?

All confirmed orders must be paid in advance unless you're purchasing directly from our pop-up store at Tuft Space, Eco Ardence, Shah Alam.

We only accept online payments through our online store or local online bank transfers upon confirmation of your order.

I did not receive a confirmation email on my order.

Please contact us directly and share with us your details so we may investigate further.

Although not necessary, kindly share with us a screenshot of any errors that came up during your checkout process as it may help us understand the issue better.

This is a gift. Will you disclose payment / order details to my recipient?

Please note that the price of your order will not be disclosed with the delivered product.

Price of the order will only be available at your confirmation email and the "Order Status Page".

Order Cancellation, Refund & Return

Can I return/exchange an item and how do I do it?

We hope that all Afterlight scented goods will stay with their new owners and make them happy for the rest of their lives. However, if you would like to return your items, please email / WhatsApp us! An item can be exchanged if we have accidentally delivered a different item from what you ordered (we’re sorry!): 

  • You may exchange the item OR request for a refund, provided the delivered item is unused, unbroken and physically delivered back to us.
  • The item(s) must be returned within 30 days from the delivery date.
  • To return an item, place the item securely in its original packaging (as some items can be delicate / fragile) and mail your return to the following address: No. 27, Jalan Harmonium 23/1, Taman Desa Tebrau, Johor Bahru, 81100, Johor, Malaysia.

What if there’s something wrong with my item(s)?

If you find that there’s something unusual about your item, or it is not working the way it is supposed to, contact us! All you have to do is email / WhatsApp us a picture of your item and let us know what happened to it. We will either (1) guide you how to fix it, (2) replace and send over a new one if it is non-fixable.

What is your cancellation policy?

We usually process orders within the next working day. If your order has yet to be processed or shipped out, we will process the cancellation for you. Please email us or WhatsApp us within 24 hours of ordering. However, if the order is delivered out, no cancellation will be accepted, nor returned or exchanged.

After cancellation, your credit will be returned / refunded to you in a matter of days - depending on your bank / card issuer.

What do I do if the items I purchased are damaged when I receive it?

We take good care of all items you ordered with love, cushions and cardboard hive wraps. However, we hope you understand that even with the care and protection, sometimes accidents could still happen during courier which is out of our control.

Fear not, this is all you need to do: Email / WhatsApp us a picture of the damaged goods and your purchase details, we will do our best to resolve the matter and send you your new item(s).

Delivery / Shipping

Where does Afterlight ship to?

We currently ship to the entire Malaysia and Singapore! If you’re overseas and interested in ordering, please contact us. We will let you know the shipping quotation for your country.

What are your shipping rates?

The flat rate shipping fee is RM8 for Peninsular Malaysia and RM15 for East Malaysia. Shipping is FREE with any purchases above RM150.

For orders to Singapore, the flat rate is RM35. Shipping is FREE with any purchases above RM300.

  • Bulk orders / customised orders (e.g. door gifts) will be discussed and calculated separately.
  • Our postages are via NinjaVan/GDex within Malaysia and EMS for overseas.

How soon will my order be posted out?

We usually ship within the next 2 days or if some items are out of stock, we will take at least 3 - 4 working days to make them and then ship them out. Most of our products are immediately available as scented candles will usually take about a week to completely cure/settle. As soon as your package is shipped out, you will receive a shipment notification email from us attached with a tracking number.

If your parcel takes too long to arrive, please contact the courier service with the tracking ID provided in your order confirmation email, or contact us to assist you.

How long does it take for my order(s) to arrive?

It takes up to 3-4 working days for Peninsular Malaysia, up to 5-7 working days for East Malaysia and 5-10 working days for deliveries within Singapore.

Do you do last minute / next day delivery?

If you would need urgent deliveries within JB/PJ/KL, please contact us directly via Instagram DM or WhatsApp. As long as your orders are before 12pm, and the items you ordered are immediately available, we will be able to arrange it for you.


What are Afterlight candles made of?

We use 80% coconut wax and 20% soy wax.

They are supposed to have a cleaner, longer burn and have close to 0 soot release.

Our coconut-soy wax candles are:
-Toxin & paraben-free (0 cosmetic preservatives)
-cruelty free

The scents we used are a healthy blend of Fragrance & Essential oils.

What should I do with my empty candle jars?

All our materials and packaging are recyclable. Since our candles are toxin free and burn cleanly, you will find it VERY easy to clean and reuse your candle vessel / jar.

Some ways to reuse your jars:

  • Stationery holder
  • Pot for hydroponic plants.
  • Drinking glass (yes it is safe as long as you clean it properly!)

Customisation, personalisation and bulk orders

How do I bulk order doorgifts for an event?

We have a fixed minimum order quantity and rates for different items. Do contact us to talk to us more about what you would require. We welcome you to explore our past works here.

Can I customise a gift box?

Yes you can! If you'd like to combine items into a gift box, wish to add on items not in our catalogue, or need more suggestions, simply contact us and we'll whip up something for you!

If you'd like to customise gift boxes in bulk for an event, we can do that for you too! Bulk rates will apply depending on our items and MOQ.

Donations & charity

Where do you usually donate your proceeds to?

We do our best to contribute at least 5% of our proceeds monthly to a greater cause. We do our due diligence to make sure that the organisations we donate to are legitimate and will utilise the funds for a meaningful purpose.

We have donated to:

  • ApeMalaysia (ROAR initiative) - replanting trees
  • Persatuan Bulan Sabit Merah (flood relief)
  • Women's Aid Organisation (survivors of abuse)
